It was nearly 10 Summers ago that Carson met Melanie at a Carnovale backyard gathering at the Jersey Shore. They became friends that night, despite the fact that Carson kept accidentally calling Melanie, “Melissa”. She let it slide.

A week later, that same group decided to take a trip to the Dave Matthews Band concert, and the rest was history...Just kidding!

They kept in touch over the years as Carson headed back to The University of Georgia and Melanie to Vanderbilt. It wasn’t until years later when Covid forced an early return home from London for Melanie and remote work for Carson that their paths crossed again.

They spent the long Covid summer filled with beach days on 2nd Ave and Friday night trips to the Crabs Claw.

Once Carson returned back to Charlotte for work, he continued to “visit his friends” in NYC on an almost monthly basis, and dates with Melanie always made it into the weekend itinerary. It was only a matter of time before he eventually got a new job in the City and there was no more denying the inevitable; these two were made for each other.

They upgraded to fiancés on a weekend in Napa Valley in 2024 — and almost immediately began planning the big day. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all and are so appreciative of those that are able to make the trip.
